Scholarship For Students With Love For Stamps: Know How?

Bhubaneswar: The postal department has launched an annual scholarship of Rs 6,000 for school students pursuing philately as a hobby.

The Deen Dayal SPARSH scholarship will be given to Class-IX students with an interest in research on stamps. The prospective applicants should also have good academic records from Class-VI to Class-IX.

The last date for the application is August 16. Interested students can get all the information about this scholarship on odishapost.gov.in.

The postal department will hold a competition to shortlist the students for the scholarship, which will carry a monthly amount of Rs 500 (Rs 6,000 annually).

In the first phase, a quiz competition on stamps will be held. It will be held on September 8. Next, the participants will have to make a project on philately.
