Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government has decided to include eggs in the midday meal for the school children in Bhubaneswar.
As informed by the Block Education Officer (BEO) Sasmita Mali, it has been decided that the school children will be provided eggs in their midday meal twice a week on Wednesday and Saturday.
“The eggs will be supplied from the BEO office at Rs 5 each. About 50,000 children of 276 schools in Bhubaneswar will be served eggs,” she added.
Notably, the state government had stopped supply of eggs to all schools in Bhubaneswar in 2016.
