Keonjhar: A student of a public school was injured in a snatching bid near the bus stand at Joda town in Odisha’s Keonjhar district on Tuesday morning.
With stab wounds on his shoulder and neck, he was later admitted to the Tata Hospital and his condition is stated to be stable.
According to sources, Osha Nanda, a resident of ward no-10 of Joda Municipality and a class-XII student of St Mary High School in Barbil town, was waiting for the school bus at the bus stand at Joda in the morning when a miscreant came on a bike and snatched his mobile phone. As Nanda tried to resist, the miscreant attacked him with a knife and fled the area.
Police have begun investigation into the incident.
