SDJM court rejects Sarathi’s bail for fifth consecutive time

Bhubaneswar: The Kendrapada Sub-Divisional Judicial Magistrate (SDJM) court on Friday rejected the bail plea of self-styled godman Santosh Raul aka Sarathi Baba in connection with a harassment case.
Sarathi’s bail application was rejected by the court for the fifth consecutive time. His bail pleas had suffered a similar fate in the Orissa High Court several times in the past.
On August 8, 2015, the self-proclaimed godman was arrested by the state Crime Branch in a case filed against him by Mamata Swain and her mother of Kendrapada. As per the allegation brought by the duo, Sarathi had misbehaved with them after acquiring their assets during their stay at Barimula ashram in the district.
