Seashore Chief Prashant Das Arrested Again Less Than 24 Hours After Being Released From Jail

Bhubaneswar:  Seashore Group Chairman and Managing Director (CMD)
Prashant Das was arrested again on Saturday, less than 24 hours after
being released from Jharpara Circle Jail.

Das was arrested from his residence at Jharpara area in Bhubaneswar by
police on Saturday morning in connection with two more cases related to chit
fund scam pending against him at Dhenkanal police station.

Prashant was released from jail at around 1 pm on Friday after
getting bail in all the eight chit fund-related cases filed against
him.

The Seashore Chief was arrested by the Economic Offences Wing (EOW) of
State Crime Branch from Mumbai in June, 2013 on charges of duping
investors of more than Rs 500 crore.
