Puri: The district administration has decided to clamp prohibitory orders under Section 144 in Puri for the ensuing Snana Jatra of the sibling deities of Jagannath Temple, slated for June 5.
Briefing mediapersons after a meeting with Chhattisha Nijog, Collector Balwant Singh said that the prohibitory orders will remain in force from 10 pm on June 4 to 2 am on June 6 to restrict the movement of the people.
The decision was taken to ensure strict implementation of the COVID-19 guidelines and avoid large congregations in the Pilgrim Town, he added.
