Bhubaneswar: The second consignment of Covishield from Serum Institute, Pune reached Odisha by SpiceJet cargo flight.
Sources in the Health and Family Welfare Department said Serum Institute of India (SII) dispatched 3,34,500 doses as stated earlier.
The vials were taken to the State Vaccine Store in three vehicles and stored on the premises of the office of Odisha State Medical Corporation Ltd (OSMCL) at Mancheswar. The vials will be despatched to districts from the store.
It may be recalled that out of a total of 3.28 lakh health workers shortlisted for the vaccination, about 1.92 lakh will be vaccinated in the first phase that is scheduled to be completed by January 25.
