Bhubaneswar: Odisha-born sprinter Dutee Chand clinched her second gold medal at the Khelo India University Games in Odisha capital on Sunday by winning the 200m event with a timing of 23.66s.
However, her best was at 2018 Asian Games in Jakarta, where she clocked 23s in the semifinal and went on to win the silver with a timing of 23.20s.
On Saturday, Dutee had set a a new Inter-University record, clocking 11.49s, in the 100m event, which has been her focus for the Olympics.
She is the national record holder in 100m, which she created at the National Open in October last year with a timing of 11.22s. She is currently 0.07s away from making the Olympic cut, with the qualification mark set at 11.15s.
She is representing the host KIIT University in this event.
