Bhubaneswar: The second-phase evaluation of Plus II commenced in 56 centres across Odisha on Monday amid protests by block grant teachers over their six-point charter of demands.
“The first-phase evaluation of Plus II papers was largely affected in the state and the government is responsible for such disturbances. The results of the Plus II students will be affected as the government has appointed degree college lecturers as evaluators for Plus II answer scripts. This is going to cast a shadow on error-free evaluation. We have decided to convene a meeting in the evening to discuss the further course of action,” said All Odisha School and College Teachers’ and Employees’ United Forum convenor Golak Nayak.
However, the strike will continue till the demands are fulfilled, Nayak added.
Many students from different colleges and parents have extended their support to the teachers’ stir.
The second-phase evaluation process will conclude on April 26.
The state government has already issued suspension orders to absentee teachers appointed for Plus II answer paper evaluation.
