Cuttack/Puri: To avoid rush during Kali Puja and Kartika month, Section 144 will be imposed at Dakshinakali temple in Biragobindapur area in Puri on November 4-5, while the authorities started enforcing it at Dhabaleswar temple in Cuttack district on Monday in view of Kartika Somvar.
In view of COVID pandemic, the district administration imposed Section 144 on Monday at Dhabaleswar temple in Athagarh to prevent overcrowding on the occasion of Kartika Somvar.
According to sources, devotees are not allowed ‘darshan’ of the deities from 4 am to 10 pm every Monday.
Likewise, to check the spread of Coronavirus, Puri district administration will impose Section 144 at Dakshinakali temple in Biragobindapur area during Kali Puja. This decision will remain in force for two days from November 4.
Only priests are allowed to perform rituals in the temple, said sources.
