Hyderabad: In a case of VVIP security breach, a man climbed on stage and tried to heckle Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma during a Ganesh festival programme here on Friday.
The senior BJP leader was standing next to party leaders and workers, with one of them addressing the crowd, when an unidentified person appeared from behind and managed to reach the front row.
Video clip of the incident which went viral shows the man wearing a pink scarf interrupting the speaker, trying to dismantle the microphone and turn aggressively towards Biswa Sarma before being quickly overpowered by security personnel.
Once the BJP leaders regain their wits following the unexpected intrusion, the person who was on the microphone starts chanting ‘Bharat Maata ki jai’.

Biswa Sarma is on a visit to Hyderabad, having been invited by Bhagyanagar Ganesh Utsav Samiti and Udupi seer Pejawar Swamiji Dharmadhikari for Ganesh immersion shobhayatra.
