New Delhi: The cricketing world waits with bated breath for Sunday’s ODI World Cup between India and Australia.
Striking a jarring note, Khalistani terrorist Gurpatwant Singh Pannun has released yet another video, threatening to ‘shut down’ the grand finale to be played in front of 1.3 lakh spectators at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.
In the video, the founder of banned Khalistani outfit ‘Sikhs for Justice’ says, “On 19th November the global Sikh community is going to boycott Air India from Ahmedabad airport, Amritsar and Delhi. Shut down these airports on 19th November.. boycott Air India.”
Following the threat, security at Ahmedabad, Delhi and Amritsar airports have been enhanced.
Pannun also talks about the 1984 anti-Sikh riots and 2002 Gujarat riots, in an attempt to incite different communities, and criticises India’s stand on the Israel-Hamas war.
Earlier this month, Pannun had released a threat video warning Sikhs not to travel by Air India on November 19, when the “World terror Cup” is scheduled.
Before that, Pannun had advised Prime Minister Narendra Modi to learn from the Israel-Palestine war and threatened a Hamas-like attack on India.
In September, an FIR was registered against Pannun on charges of issuing threats and promoting enmity ahead of the India versus Pakistan World Cup match at Ahmedabad.
