Bhubaneswar: A man working as a security guard at a private factory in Odisha’s Jharsuguda district was allegedly stabbed to death by unidentified assailants on Thursday night.
The deceased has been identified as Santosh Nayak (37).
According to sources, Nayak was on his way to the factory when some miscreants attacked him with sharp weapons at Bhualapatra village under Kolabira police limits.
Later, he was spotted lying in a pool of blood by some locals, who rushed him to Jharsuguda district headquarters hospital, where doctors declared him dead.
On being informed, a police team from Jharsuguda town reached the spot and initiated an investigation. The motive behind the attack is yet to be ascertained.
