Security Of Women On Priority List Of New Bhubaneswar DCP

Bhubaneswar: Prateek Singh took charge as Bhubaneswar Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) on Wednesday.

Singh, who had served as Cuttack DCP, was transferred to Bhubaneswar in a major rejig effected earlier this month. Singh met ACP, IIC, head of Special Wings and the staff.

Speaking to mediapersons Singh said he will give focus on crime control, law and order management besides people-friendly policy of the Commissionerate Police.

About his plan for controlling crime, particularly street crimes, in the Capital, Singh said “I will study and analyse the situation will hold discussion with the officers and will plan accordingly. We will follow the good practices that help to control the crimes.”

On his priority are VIP security, incidences in slums and security of women, the 2014 batch IPS officer said.
