Bhubaneswar: Commissionerate police have made elaborate security arrangements for the Make In Odisha Conclave, scheduled to begin at Janata Maidan here on Sunday.
Talking to mediapersons, police commissioner Satyajit Mohanty said anti-terrorist squads have been deployed in and around the venue to foil any attempt to sabotage the event. Apart from this, 12 platoons of armed police force have been deployed at the venue. To monitor security arrangements, 40 select officers are engaged. Besides, special measures have been taken to provide Z security to the VIPs and the state guests.
Mohanty also said that the commissionerate police have also made traffic arrangements. “To ensure smooth traffic, two medians have been opened outside the venue. Special vehicle parking place has been earmarked near the venue for the VIPs. We have also introduced the entry pass system for the common people to visit the conclave,” he pointed out.
