Bhubaneswar: Unidentified miscreants allegedly assaulted a senior citizen after barging into his medicine store and robbed him of gold ornaments, on the outskirts of the city, on Wednesday.
According to sources, the incident has been captured in the CCTV camera installed in the area in which two motorcycle-borne youths are seen arriving at the medicine. One of them enters the outlet and assaults the 75-year-old man. He then snatches away a gold chain and a bracelet from the elderly and flees.
Three such loot incidents were reported last month.
On October 31, three miscreants allegedly attacked and looted an online delivery boy near Patharabandha area.
On October 29, miscreants looted cash and gold ornaments worth around Rs 7 lakh from the residence of a professor at the Odisha University of Agriculture Technology (OUAT).
On October 28, unidentified miscreants attacked an engineer with a sword while he was plucking flowers in the morning at Sailashree Vihar.
