Bhubaneswar: Senior journalist Baishnab Charan Jena passed away here in the early hours of Saturday. He was 68.
According to family sources, Jena suffered a heart attack and lost his life.
Jena was born at Benjarapur village under Bari block in Odisha’s Jajpur district. He worked in a bank in Koraput district for some years before he began his journalism career in 1980. He worked for different Odia newspapers and was known for his political columns.
His mother Droupadi Jena was a four-time ward member and two-time Naib Sarpanch.
