Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government on Wednesday appointed 10 senior IAS officers as coordinating officers for 13 medical colleges and hospitals in the state.
The bureaucrats have been tasked to improve overall performance, infrastructure development and functioning of these medical colleges and hospitals. They will also oversee progress of the proposed medical colleges, an official release said.
The appointments are as follows:
2. Agriculture Production Commissioner Pradipta Kumar Mohapatra —— Fakir Mohan Medical College and Hospital, Balasore, and MKCG Medical College and Hospital, Berhampur.
3. Additional Chief Secretary, Steel and Mines Department, Raj Kumar Sharma —– Government Medical Colleges and Hospital, Keonjhar
4. Principal Secretary, Forest and Environment Department, Mona Sharma —— Jajpur Medical College and Hospital
5. Principal Secretary, Labour and ESI and Women and Child Development Department, Anu Garg —– Angul Medical College and Hospital (MCL)
6. Principal Secretary, Revenue and Disaster Management Department, Nikunja Bihari Dhal — Kandhamal Medical College and Hospital and Santha Bhim Bhoi Medical College and Hospital, Balangir
7. Principal Secretary, Finance Department, AKK Meena —– Saheed Laxman Naik Medical College and Hospital, Koraput
8. Principal Secretary, Water Resources Department, Surendra Kumar —— Pandit Raghunath Murmu Medical College and Hospital, Baripada
9. Commissioner-cum-Secretary, Industries Department, Hemant Sharma —— Government Medical College and Hospital, Bhawanipatna
Secretary, Works Department, Krishan Kumar —— Shree Jagannath Medical College and Hospital, Puri.
