Bhubaneswar: To instil confidence among the frontline workers, whose vaccination begins tomorrow (February 6), the government has asked all senior officers to take the shots on the day.
As per a decision taken at the Steering Committee Meeting chaired by Chief Secretary Suresh Mahapatra, all senior officers like DG Police, all their senior officers; Collectors and SPs of different districts have been directed to take the vaccine on February 6 itself and tweet the same with their picture.
Informing this, the State Health and Family Welfare (H&FW) ACS Pradipta Mohapatra said this is aimed at creating awareness and building confidence among frontline workers and help the vaccination programme get the desired momentum.

It also aims to send across a message that corona vaccine is safe and has no side effects, he added.
A circular has been issued to all Collectors, Municipal Commissioners, CDM & PHOs in this regard, he added.
