Berhampur: Senior officers of the Ganjam district administration have identified waterlogging areas of Bahana Nala and Sapua Nala flowing on the outskirts of this Silk City and the desilting work of the drains would start soon.
The people living in the areas surrounding the two major drains (17 km long each) have been demanding desiltation as the drains get clogged during rainy season causing waterlogging. Even a brief spell of rain leaves these areas waterlogged.
