Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government has appointed senior officers to coordinate various COVID-related activities in the state.
They have been entrusted with specific responsibilities in the fight against coronavirus.
Pradipta Kumar Mohapatra has been appointed as Additional Chief Secretary, Health and Family Welfare. He will be in additional charge of Revenue and Disaster Management Department. Nikunj Kumar Dhal, will continue as Principal Secretary of Health and Family Welfare Department, the notification said.
In addition to this, six officers have been tasked to manage the welfare arrangement of the persons from Odisha stranded in other States, healthcare helpline and registration of foreign returnees, call centres. They are IG (Operations) Amitabh Thakur, transport commissioner Sanjeeb Panda, Rourkela SP Sarthak Sarangi, IFS officer G Reghu and IAS officers – Divakara T S and Ashish Patil.
