Puri: Rabindranath Pratihari, a senior sevayat of the Jagannath temple here, passed away at a private hospital in Bhubaneswar on Wednesday. He was 79.
A member of the Jagannath Temple Managing Committee, Pratihari played a major role in the propagation of the Jagannath culture and tradition across the world.
He was the secretary general of the Shri Jagannath Chetana Gabesana Pratisthan. He is credited with a number of research studies on the Jagannath cult and also authored several books.
