Jeypore: A septuagenarian was rescued by Fire personnel from a well in Koraput district on Tuesday.
According to sources, the man, identified as Rupadhar Halwa of Umri village under Jeypore block had gone to the well in the morning. While he was brushing his teeth standing near the well, his head started reeling reportedly due to high blood pressure and he fell into the deep well.
Later, some villagers found him shouting for help in the well and called Fire Brigade at Jeypore. The Fire personnel rushed to Umri and brought 75-year-old Halwa safely out of the well with the help of a ladder.
They admitted him in district headquarters hospital. His condition was stable after treatment, hospital sources said.
