Mumbai: Alia Bhatt’s first look from Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s much-awaited film ‘Love & War’ has leaked online. In the picture which has gone viral, Alia exudes vintage charm, in a rose gold sequined saree, with her hair tied into a large bun.
She is seen sporting heavy eye makeup and a nose pin, as she makes her way to the sets.
Sharing the picture on Reddit, a user wrote, “Alia Bhatt’s exclusive first look from Love And War.”
Soon, the comments section was flooded with reactions, with some calling the film a ‘sequel to Bombay Velvet’.
One user wrote, “If this is her look, then SLB has successfully achieved the Divya Dutta-fication of Alia.”
“Look, stolen from Bride of Frankenstein,” added another.
“Bombay Velvet 2,” one netizen user commented.
Another said, “The more I see from this movie, the more cringe I feel. Between RK and VK moustaches and Alia giving wannabe energy, it looks like a sequel to Bombay Velvet.”
“It’s giving Anushka in BV (Bombay Velvet),” mentioned another user.
Ranbir Kapoor and Anushka Sharma’s 2015 film ‘Bombay Velvet’ was a box-office disaster.
Directed and co-produced by Anurag Kashyap, the film revolves around an ordinary man who goes against all odds and forges his destiny to become a big shot.
Bhansali’s ‘Love & War’ was announced in January 2024.
The announcement post on Instagram read: “We Bring You Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Epic Saga ‘Love & War.’ See You At The Movies Christmas 2025.”
Later, the release date of the film was postponed to March 20. The film will now arrive in theatres during the festive week of Ramzan, Ram Navami and Gudi Padwa.
‘Love & War’ also stars Ranbir Kapoor and Vicky Kaushal in lead roles.
