Cuttack: The four-day serological survey began in Cuttack city on Monday to ascertain the prevalence of antibodies of the denizens against COVID-19.
The survey, jointly conducted by the Regional Medical Research Centre (RMRC) in association with the Health workers of the Cuttack Municipal Corporation (CMC), began in 25 wards at 8 am and will continue till 5 pm.
The survey is being conducted by the five teams with each team in charge of five wards.
As decided, the sero test will be conducted on 60 persons from each ward. However, pregnant women and minors are excluded from the survey.
It may be mentioned that the sero survey in Cuttack district was earlier conducted in the Badamba block.
Notably, the total confirmed cases in Cuttack city till October 31 stand at 14,893 with 810 active cases and 68 deaths. The district during this period has reported 26,013 confirmed cases with 1008 active cases and 111 deaths.
