Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government will carry out a serological survey in 12 districts to gauge the age-specific prevalence of SARS-CoV-2 antibodies among the people including healthcare workers.
The 12 districts selected for the survey are Sambalpur, Sundargarh, Jharsuguda, Keonjhar, Khurda, Puri, Balasore, Mayurbhanj, Jaipur, Kandhamal, Kalahandi and Nabarangpur districts.
Additional Chief Secretary (Health) Pradipta Kumar Mohapatra gave the directive in a letter to Director of Regional Medical Research Centre (RMRC) Sanghamitra Pati,
Mohapatra informed that the expenditure of Rs 57,70,500 for the survey will be borne from the Public Health Response Fund (PHRF).
The letter, however, didn’t mention when the survey will begin.
