Puri: Chief Minister and BJD President Naveen Patnaik on Tuesday advised
his party workers to serve people of Odisha with simplicity and
humility.
Addressing party workers on the occasion of the regional party’s 20th
foundation day at Talabania in Puri, the Chief Minister said simplicity has its own power to connect to the masses. Quoting former President of India Dr A P J Abdul Kalam, Naveen said, “Truth and simplicity is maintained by self without any cost. It is now time to
fulfil the commitments made to the people.” He advised his partymen to believe in simplicity and work for people with a sympathetic attitude.
Recalling legendary leader Biju Patnaik’s contribution towards development of the state and its people, especially the poor, Naveen urged the people to work for the pride of Maa, Mati and Manisha (Mother, Motherland and People).
“Everyone should continue their endeavour to make Odisha a more
prosperous state. Let us take a pledge to make Odisha, the number one
state and carve a special place in world history,” he added.
