Bhubaneswar: The services in the Capital Hospital, here, have been affected after more than 30 employees including doctors and para medical staff tested positive for COVID.
Laxmidhar Sahoo, director, Capital Hospital told the media that several doctors, nurses and other staff of different departments have been detected with the deadly virus. The affected staff are in isolation at present, he added.
On treatment of the patients in the hospital, Sahoo said other doctors and para medical staff are carrying it out. Though under pressure, they are putting in their best to render services to the patients, he added.
He further said all the staff on duty and the patients have been advised to take the preventive measures to prevent the spread of virus. If necessary, the hospital will start telemedicine services to take care of the patients, he added.
Earlier in the day, 20 doctors and paramedical staff in VIMSAR, Burla and 30 more students of FM Medical College in Balasore tested COVID positive.
