Settlement Amin Caught Taking Bribe By Odisha Vigilance In Balangir

Bhubaneswar: A Settlement Amin was apprehended by Odisha Vigilance sleuths on Monday while allegedly accepting Rs 5,000 bribe from a man for processing and issuance of land patta in Balangir district.

The accused was identified as Sadananda Sahu, Settlement Amin in Agalpur Tehsil of Balangir district.

He was apprehended by Vigilance officials while demanding and accepting Rs.5,000/- from a complainant for processing and issuance ROR (Land Patta) in his favour in a mutation case, official sources said.

The entire bribe money has been recovered from the possession of accused Amin and seized.
Following the trap, simultaneous searches are being conducted at two locations of Sahu from Disproportionate Assets angle.

In this connection, a case has been registered and investigation is in progress.
