Bhawanipatna: Seven persons engaged in selling of blood at Dharmagarh Sub-divisional Hospital in Kalahandi district have been arrested.
Those arrested include five middlemen and two technicians of a blood bank, SP Battula Gangadhar said.
A couple of days ago, Collector Gavali Parag Harshad had visited the hospital following allegations of illegal sale of blood.
The arrests were made following feedback under the ‘Mo Sarkar’ initiative of the Odisha government, the SP added.
