Rayagada: Seven persons were seriously injured in a group clash at Dhaliakuji in Rayagada district on Friday.
According to reports, there was some altercation between residents of two villages. However, things took an ugly turn when some youths attacked each other with bricks and stones following a heated exchange. In no time, six motorcycles parked near the spot were damaged.
On being informed about the incident, police rushed to the spot and brought the situation under control.
Those injured were admitted to Gunupur hospital in a critical condition.
The clash broke out between residents of two villages under Bissamcuttack block over construction of a panchayat office at Dhaliakuji, reports added.
