Seven Places In Odisha Among Nation’s 10 Most Polluted Today



Bhubaneswar: Ten urban centres across India, including seven in Odisha, recorded ‘very poor’ air quality on Friday, according to the latest data from the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB).

According to Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB), Talcher in Odisha’s Angul district, topped the national list as the most polluted town with an Air Quality Index (AQI) of 380 at 4 pm. The other affected places in the are Angul (346), Balasore (318), Baripada (312) and Keonjhar (311).

The remaining three towns flagged nationwide were Tirupati (341) in Andhra Pradesh, Bikaner (329)  in Rajasthan, and Singrauli (320) in Madhya Pradesh.
