Bhubaneswar: Odisha continued to be in the grip of heat wave with as many as seven places recording the day temperature above 40 degrees Celsius on Saturday.
Sonepur recorded the highest temperature of 40 degrees Celsius followed by Balangir at 42.3 degrees Celsius.
Other places that recorded above 40 degrees Celsius are Hirakud (41.7), Jharsuguda (41.6), Sambalpur (41.5), Talcher (41.5) and Bhawanipatna (40.5).
