Malkangiri: Seven shops in the Chitrakonda daily market in Malkangiri district were raided and sealed on Monday for alleged violation of COVID-19 norms.
A team led by tehsildar T. Padmanabh Dora and additional tehsildar Chandramani Swain went on a surprise visit to the market to observe people’s adherence to the corona norms.
During the raid, two illegal mobile shops, two computer shops, one grocery store, a fertilizer shop and a betel shop were sealed. In addition, those who did not wear masks were fined Rs 5,400.
