Bhubaneswar: Several Congress and BJP workers and leaders of Odisha’s Kendrapara district joined Biju Janata Dal in presence of the party supremo and Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik at Naveen Niwas here on Monday.
The supporters, led by Kendrapara MLA Kishore Tarai, came in a rally to Naveen Niwas and formally joined BJD.
“I believe that the joining of these supporters will strengthen the party organisation in Kendrapara district,” Naveen said.
Among others, BJD state general secretary and MLA Atanu Sabyasachi Nayak, vice-president Prasanna Acharya, BJD Kendrapara district observer Pramilla Mallick, Bijay Nayak, BJD Kendrapara district president Dhruba Sahu, Zilla Parishad chairman Manas Parida, APICOL chairperson Krutibas Patra, BJD Kendrapara Youth president Rajesh Panda were present on the occasion.
