Bhubaneswar: The Railways have decided to cancel several passenger and express trains and divert several others between May 25 and May 31 for commissioning of the double line on the Kapilas Road-Salagaon section.
The trains which will remain cancelled include Kharagpur-Khurda Road-Kharagpur fast passenger from both the directions and Puri-Rourkela-Puri Passenger.
According to an ECoRly statement, Kendujhargarh-Bhubaneswar-Kendujhargarh passenger, Talcher-Puri-Talcher MEMU and Cuttack-Bhadrak-Cuttack passenger will also remain cancelled during this period.
Puri-Digha Express will remain cancelled on May 25, Visakhapatnam-Paradeep Express from Visakhapatnam on May 26, Santragachhi-Paradeep Express from Santragachhi on May 28 and Digha-Visakhapatnam Express from Digha on May 31.
The statement said free bus service will be provided for transportation of passengers from Cuttack to Naraj Marthapur Railway Station and from Naraj Marthapur to Cuttack Railway Station.
Bulk SMS/information has also been sent to the mobile phones of affected passengers of the diverted trains to arrive one hour before the scheduled departure of their train (for boarding passengers) and also to get down at Naraj Marthapur (for deboarding passengers), the statement said.
