Bhubaneswar: A major fire broke out at an electric vehicle showroom in Bomikhal in Odisha’s capital late Monday night.
No casualties were reported in the mishap. However, several electric scooters worth lakhs of rupees were reduced to ashes.
According to sources, a battery was plugged for charging inside the service centre of the showroom. A short-circuit is suspected to have led to the fire mishap.
Locals spotted dense smoke coming out of the service centre and alerted fire personnel, who rushed to the spot and doused the flames.
