Jharsuguda: At least 20 students were hospitalised after having mid day meal (MDM) at Jamera upper primary school in Odisha’s Jharsuguda district on Saturday.
Sources said, the students fell ill a few minutes after having their mid day meal on the school premises at around 9:30 am.
The students were diagnosed with diarrhea and were administered immediate treatment at the district headquarters hospital.
The sources added that students complained of illness after consuming the eggs provided in the MDM. Parents of the sick students rushed to the hospital, complained about MDM food and demanded a probe into the incident.
