Bhubaneswar: Severe thunderstorm coupled with hail, rain, lightning and high-speed wind is likely to hit at least ten districts of Odisha on Thursday night, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) said in a nowcast warning.
In a message issued at 6 pm, the IMD severe thunderstorm with hail, moderate rain, lightning, surface wind with speed reaching 50-60 kmph may occur in isolated places of Balangir, Bargarh, Deogarh, Keonjhar, Koraput, Malkangiri, Mayurbhanj, Nabarangpur, Nuapada and Sudnargarh districts in next three hours.
People have been advised to keep a watch on the weather conditions and move to safer places to protect from lightning strikes.
