Berhampur: In a crackdown on flesh trade, the police on Wednesday busted a sex racket that allegedly operated from a rented house in Nimkhandi area of Odisha’s Ganjam district, and rescued three women.
Acting on a tip-off, a team from Nimkhandi police station carried out a raid at a house and rescued three young women, including one from neighbouring Andhra Pradesh.
The police also detained two customers and the owner of the house for interrogation. Several objectionable items were also seized from the house.
The detained persons are being interrogated to ascertain the network of the racket. Further investigation is in progress.
