Baripada: Police on Saturday busted a sex racket in Baripada town in Odisha’s Mayurbhanj district and detained 30 persons including 15 women.
Acting on a tip-off, the Town Police conducted a simultaneous raid on three lodges in the town and detained 31 persons including 15 women who were found in a compromising position.
Police also detained the owners of the three lodges for interrogation.
Among the detained persons is a middle-aged woman, who the police suspect to be the kingpin of the racket.
Most of the women and persons are college students, police said.
