Cuttack: The Commissionerate Police on Saturday busted a sex racket in the city and detained three persons, including a woman.
Acting on a tip-off, the Malgodown police raided a hotel in the Pilgrim Road area near College Square and rescued two women.
Police later detained a lady kingpin and two hotel staff for interrogation.
According to police, the sex racket was being run from the hotel for the past few weeks.
A police officer of the Malgodown police station said that the two rescued women engaged in the flesh trade will be sent to a short-stay home while efforts are on to nab other members involved in the racket.
