Dhenkanal: A sex racket operating near Caltex Chhak under Town Police limits in Odisha’s Dhenkanal town was busted on Saturday.
The kingpin of the racket, Shivaji Mohanty, was nabbed and two women engaged in the flesh trade were rescued by police. Some customers, however, managed to flee the spot.
According to sources, police conducted the raid on the house around 10 pm after being tipped off about the ongoing illegal activity. A car has been seized and further investigation is on.
The accused reportedly has criminal antecedents and he and his wife were arrested two years back for the same offence, sources added.
