Balangir: A sex racket was busted as police arrested two persons and rescued a woman from a house at Patnagarh in Odisha’s Balangir district.
The accused have been identified as Pancha Meher (38) andSampad Pod. The woman is stated to be a resident of West Bengal.
Acting on a tip-off about a sex racket, a team of police personnel carried out a raid on a house late on Thursday night and arrested the two accused. The woman was also rescued from the spot.
The police have seized some cash, a contraceptive packet, and two mobile phones from the possession of the accused.
Police said the accused were sent for medical examination and both forwarded to the court following their arrest. Further investigation is in progress.
