Sex Racket Busted In Jharsuguda, Two Girls Rescued

Jharsuguda: Police on Sunday busted a sex racket and rescued two girls from a hotel in Jharsuguda district.

However, a customer and a middleman succeeded in giving the raiding team the slip.

Acting on a tip-off, the police conducted a surprise raid on the hotel near Biju Nagar and rescued the girls, besides seizing many objectionable items.

A similar sex racket was busted at Nahanjara village under Singla police limits in Balasore district on June 14.

Following the raid, four persons, including a girl and the owner of the house, were taken into custody.

On May 19, the police had uncovered a high-profile sex racket running in guise of a spa at Bapuji Nagar in Bhubaneswar. Seven persons were arrested from the spot and eight Thai women rescued.

Later, the Thai women were served ‘Quit India’ notice by the Commissionerate Police and asked to leave the country immediately.
