Bhubaneswar: Police on Wednesday busted a sex racket during a raid on a hair salon and spa near Keshari Talkies in Odisha capital.
The owner, identified as Vijay Thakur (31), and four others were arrested. Three women were also rescued from the spa.
According to police sources, prostitution and other illegal activities were being carried out under the garb of the spa. Some objectionable objects and Rs 35,000 in cash were seized from the premises.
The three women, hailing from Delhi, Jamshedpur and West Bengal, have been sent to a rescue home, the sources added.
In May, the Commissionerate Police had busted a sex racket operating from a spa at Bapuji Nagar here.
