Bhubaneswar: The Commissionerate Police on Thursday busted a flesh trade racket, which was allegedly being run under the garb of an NGO, Bhubaneswar.
According to sources, acting on a tip-off about the sex racket operating from the office of the NGO, Sai Seva Trust, in Nageswaratangi under Lingaraj police limits in the city, the police conducted a raid.
During the raid, the police arrested three persons including the kingpin of the racket, identified as Naresh Kumar Rana, and two others. They also rescued a sex worker from the office.
The arrested persons have been sent for medical examination and the rescued woman will be accommodated in a rehabilitation centre, the sources said. The police have registered a case and launched an investigation.
Naresh was running the sex racket in the name of Sai Seva Trust from the house for the last several months, the sources added.
