Bengaluru: A second lookout notice has been issued against former Prime Minister HD Deve Gowda’s son HD Revanna and grandson Prajwal Revanna in the sex tapes probe in Karnataka. The scandal rocked Karnataka and the nation in the middle of Lok Sabha elections.
“We have issued lookout notices against both HD Revanna and Prajwal Revanna. We had issued a lookout notice to HD Revanna as he may plan to go abroad. But the second notice was given yesterday. They have time until this evening to reply to the notices,” Karnataka Home Minister Parameshwara said during a media briefing on Saturday.
Janata Dal (Secular) MP Prajwal, who is seeking re-election from Hassan, is accused of raping multiple women, and left India after the videos surfaced on social media. Prajwal and his father also face an alleged sexual abuse case filed by a woman who used to work in their house.
The father-son duo had requested for time to appear before the special investigation team (SIT) set up by Karnataka government to probe the case.
The Karnataka government, has also urged Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) to seek other nations help to trace JDS leader Prajwal.
