Sex Workers Pelt Stones At Police In Bhubaneswar

Bhubaneswar: Tension ran high here after a group of sex workers pelted stones at the police near Master Canteen Square late on Monday night.

According to reports, some sex workers were allegedly fighting with each other in Ashok Nagar area at about 11 pm. Police arrived at the spot and managed to bring the situation under control.

But again the sex workers clashed with each other near the bus stand at the Master Canteen Square. As the police tried to disperse them, the sex workers suddenly attacked them and pelted stones at the police van breaking the window glass.

However, the sex workers fled the area after more cops were deployed at the spot to take stock of the situation.

Later, a case was registered at the Capital Police Station. Efforts are on to nab the sex workers, police said.
