Bhubaneswar: The sexual harassment complaint filed by a contractual woman employee against Director of AYUSH, Bibhu Prasad Sarangi took a new turn after the latter filed a counter case against her at Mahila Police Station here on Tuesday.
Claiming that the complaint filed by the woman employee was false and a conspiracy against him, Sarangi told the media that the contractual appointment of the complainant was found to be illegal during a recent inquiry. Later, the Directorate of AYUSH served a notice on the programme manager of an organization for clarification regarding this illegal appointment. “The programme manager and the woman employee then hatched a conspiracy to defame me,” he added.
On the obscene text messages and videos, Sarangi maintained that these were not sent from his phone. “I request the police to send the call and message records to the forensic lab to ascertain the veracity of the complaint lodged by the woman employee,” he asserted.
